Colour Scores
Colour Scores are arrangements of found colour, a photographic document of what we leave behind. Recorded on same hue backdrops and titled with musical terms such as Neutral Third, Delta Blues, Milk Voice and Dark Ambient , Colour Scores evoke emotional soundscapes with their intensity.
Amy Jane Scully gathers the flotsam and jetsam the sea washes ashore. Seaweed, crab claws shells, sea-tumbled glass and ceramics, discarded vapes. fishing tackle, remnants of balloons and ribbons and lots of coloured plastic -a kaleidoscopic document of the prolific detritus of our society.
She collects and arranges this material over time until it transforms into single powerful colour field. A pure singularity of hue.
For an ephemeral moment the world makes sense and falls into calm.
Currently showing from April 12 -June 6 at
