Foundlings

AMY JANE SCULLY has created over 72 Foundlings- a project started during lock down as she gathered beach and bush debris on daily walks. Amy found organic flotsam, discarded objects and industrial detritus and arranged them into ephemeral assemblages of Goddess figures and fairy folk reflecting her Irish heritage and the seasons of change during this strange time.

Making the rubbish of our society into something fun, delightful and perhaps sacred. The works provided a window into the wild for Amy's instagram followers who couldn't access the beach or bush. Two published volumes of these works found a keen audience.
Foundlings – a series of 72 goddesses and fairy folk that exhibited as her first solo show at Scratch Gallery Marrickville, in August/September 2023.
